Maria Santilli has played Division 1 college tennis for the University of Cincinnati. She is a two-time WPIAL singles and state champion in 2016. Rodney Stewart Has recently served as Director of racquet sports at both private and commercial clubs in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh over the past 18 years. Certified as a P1 Professional by the PTR. Extensive experience with team practices, live ball clinics, junior and adult lessons, cardio tennis and instructional clinics for all ages and levels. Teaching philosophy : strong focus on biomechanics, physics and psychology - but the number one goal is to share my passion for tennis. Proud to be a Yonex Ambassador. Georgie Lancaster is a 2025 graduate of the Slippery Rock University Women’s Tennis team which was ranked 49th in the nation in May 2025. She participated in the PSAC conference finals 4 years in a row, and captained her team to the Sweet 16 Division II National Championship (May 2025). In her career, she’s coached diverse players of all ages and abilities at Piping Rock Club (Long Island, NY), and the Rafa Nadal Academy.
Brandon Gordon has been playing tennis for over 20 years. He competed on the Pelham High School varsity team in Alabama, where his team placed 3rd in the 6A state championships his senior year (May 2006). The following year, he began teaching tennis at Mountain Brook Country Club while attending college. He has recently returned to both teaching and competing and is now coaching with Allegheny County at Boyce Park. Brandon is currently pursuing a graduate degree in psychology, which he integrates into his lessons to help students meet challenges head-on and achieve success. His coaching style is encouraging, supportive, and fun!
Dave Hasley is a former Director of Tennis at Edgewood Tennis and Fitness Club for 20 years. Our junior program was home to many highly ranked Middle States and nationally ranked players, many of whom went on to Division I and II scholarships. Directed Summer Tennis Camps for Adidas for 10 years at Shadyside Academy. Currently, the Head Coach for varsity boys and girls, and middle school boys and girls at Shadyside Academy. David Salazar is a New York native, and was formally trained on red clay. He is a 2022 graduate from Allegheny College where he was a starter and team captain. He then graduated from Physical Therapy school in Boston, and is now pursuing a specialization in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. David has years of experience coaching all age groups and levels, and can work with both singles or doubles focused players.
David Bender is a USPTR Professional and has over 25 years of experience as an instructor, high school coach, and secondary school teacher. As a high school coach at Shady Side Academy in 1994, David also continued to develop as a player, participating in local and regional tournaments and leagues. Winning several doubles events, David earned opportunities to represent the AMTA in adult age level team events and played on a grass court for the first time in 2008. He has a unique skill set as a player and a coach, having assisted in the development of college players and tour level players, while patiently enjoying working with kids of all ages. David has a master's degree in education with a concentration in Earth Science, working as a district substitute teacher for the Keystone Oaks School District. Spending most of the decade of 2010 coaching in the south hills, David joined the WPIAL Tennis Committee, serving for two years on the board.
